Hope Rising Housing

Our Program

Maine's first residential treatment program for women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and need a safe place to heal and rebuild their lives. For the safety of our clients, the location of Hope Rising is not publicly disclosed.

Our staff takes a whole person approach to the therapeutic and rehabilitative care of each survivor, providing individual and group counseling sessions and substance abuse treatment.

Complementary therapies such as art therapy, yoga, equine therapy, and recreation therapy are provided as available on-site and in the community.

A career coordinator works with each client individually to assess her education needs, set vocational goals and coordinate with local resources—whether it's completing a high school diploma, taking college courses, matching to a local mentor in the community, or providing on-the-job training.
